About Us
The Bodlonfa Golf Society (BGS) is a
relatively
new Golf Society, formed in 2001. Born out of 3 golfing
neighbours in a small courtyard, and a close friend who
was a member at the local golf club, the inaugural match
was played in August of 2001. Our home Golf Club is Rhuddlan,
North Wales, where both Chris & Wyn are members.
The first match was between the Ashley, Dave, Wyn and
Chris (see Players Profile page) and it was decided to
play as pairs, with the Mancs (Ashley & Dave) taking
on the Scousers (Chris & Wyn). These teams
have stayed the same ever since, with the Mancs currently
edging the leaderboard (due to some dubious Handicap
claims!!)
In 2002, a new annual competition has been introduced,
where the teams will be playing for the Bodlonfa Cup - due
to be played in August (see Fixtures & Comps page).
